Dr Claudia DeGiovanni is an experienced consultant dermatologist and skin surgeon.
Claudia’s philosophy is to deliver high quality dermatological care in a relaxed friendly environment. She confidently treats all general skin conditions including general rashes such as eczema psoriasis and acne, diagnoses and manages new or changing skin lesions including mole checks, tags, warts, sun damage and skin cancer lesions. In addition she offer aesthetic treatments including Botox and fillers for facial rejuvenation with the aim of achieving a natural looking, enhanced appearance.
She is a member of the local skin cancer Multidisciplinary Team (MDT), a group of experts with a specialist interest in the diagnosis, treatment and management of people with skin cancer, and has been it’s deputy lead (2008-10). She has particular expertise in skin surgery. She is able to put you at ease during any procedures that are required.
Claudia is clinical lead for the dermatology service at Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust. She is the regional research lead for dermatology for the Kent Surrey Sussex Clinical Research Network (KSS CRN) and has been a principle investigator for several important dermatological studies.
She qualified from Imperial College at St Mary’s in 1999 and was appointed as a consultant dermatologist to Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust in 2008. She is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, and a member of the British Association of Dermatologists, and British Society for Dermatological Surgery. She is registered with the General Medical Council.
She is widely published in a range of peer-reviewed medical journals and has won a host of medical awards for her work.

Claudia is an experienced skin surgeon and uses several techniques to treat skin lesions including prescribed creams, liquid nitrogen (cryotherapy), photodynamic therapy for sun damage and superficial skin lesions, removal of simple lesions under local anaesthetic, and larger procedures including head and neck surgery and flap and skin graft repairs.
She manages all types of dermatological rashes including eczema, psoriasis, acne and blistering skin conditions.
She offers Botox and filler injections for facial rejuvenation. She aims to deliver a natural looking enhanced appearance, allowing for some facial expression.
