Dr Justine Hextall

CONSULTANT DERMATOLOGIST

 

Dr Justine Hextall is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and has been an NHS Consultant dermatologist for more than a decade. During that time she has worked as clinical and skin cancer department lead for 5 years. She was appointed as skin cancer chair of Sussex 3 years ago and has been educational lead for Sussex Skin Network Site Specific Group (NSSG) for 5 years. She was recently appointed to the skin cancer sub-committee at the British Association of Dermatologists. Dr Hextall trained at the St John’s institute of dermatology for 5 years where she remained as an honorary consultant for 5 years until 2009.

Her special interests include skin lupus and other connective tissue dermatological issues. As a dermatological surgeon and skin cancer expert Dr Hextall specialises in the surgical and non-surgical management of facial skin cancers. She has a specific expertise in the use of dermoscopy in the diagnosis of skin cancer and lectures widely on this subject. Her experience in inflammatory skin conditions makes her an expert in the management of acne and rosacea.

Dr Hextall is the medical director of the Tarrant Street Clinic in Arundel and has a reputation for her scientific approach to anti-ageing . She takes a holistic approach to skin health and is frequently asked to comment in the national press. She is well known for her aesthetic work and her light approach for skin rejuvenation which focuses on skin texture, tone and hydration.

She is also a passionate advocate of education she has been local training programme director for dermatology trainees for 5 years.
